it can be challenging to remember, when things are hard, when you're in a bad mood, when challenges come... that it's possible to feel more than one emotion at a time. and it's possible for one of those emotions to be happy. especially when things are hard. you have to re~mind yourself that when you manage to find some happy along the way, it's OKAY to let the happy in.
i WASTED the first 41 years of my life by not understanding that. by letting my challenges stand in front of my happy. you don't get any of that time back.
so, re~mind yourself, literally change your mind, by checking these items off of every to do list...

i got to this place where despite a lifetime of sadness, trauma, abuse and abandonment, despite having 9 disabling disorders, by remembering that happy matters, i found my way to coping, then going beyond coping, into thriving and loving my life.
