positivity is not throwing confetti or denying reality, it's having your own back.
doing a lot of narcolepsy advocacy i've learned that a lot of people have the mindset that if you're going through something hard, you can't experience any positivity at all.
toxic positivity is super confusing unless you've studied it but what it comes down to is... positivity is toxic when it discounts your feelings. if you're capable of feeling more than one emotion at a time, why can't one of them be positivity? or encouragement?
being stuck in the suck is the time you need positivity the most. don't brush it off because you feel stuck in your feels. remember that positivity is not running around throwing confetti, it's not sugar coating your reality or denying that you're struggling, it's simply remembering that good does exist, that you can have hope, that you can believe in yourself that you'll get through it.
